The Boston Bar and Cleveland Bar are the most recent professional legal organizations to begin campaigns to educate their members on how, when and why to use RPost Registered E-mail services in their daily business. As recent court decisions have underscored the importance of treating e-mail as a formal document, the legal community requires new technology that can track the electronic trail from sender to receiver and validate the original content, thereby delivering greater accountability when using electronic communications. While attorneys generally save a copy of sent e-mails, when they need a record of an e-mail correspondence that will stand up to scrutiny, simply saving what was "sent" is only saving half the picture. If they need to retrieve a particular record, the other party could simply claim that they did not "receive" that e-mail, or, worse, claim that when they did, it said something different.
