What is SettlementRoom
SettlementRoom is web-based software which will manage your real estate business from the time of listing until after the closing, saving you time and impressing your clients at every turn. SettlementRoom is easily implemented at any level, with packages affordable for agents and small teams, up to full service plans for large offices and multi-office organizations.
You access your SettlementRoom account using a normal web browser, so you can work on your transactions from anywhere in the world. Because your data is housed in a top tier national data center, it is safe and secure.
The basic SettlementRoom concept is to have our software automatically create for you a virtual website for each real estate transaction (listing, closing, loan, etc.) in which you are participating. Each website has your name on it and gives you and your invited guests secure point and click document management, messaging, ordering, calendars, contact management, task tracking and more. Your clients can log in at any time for up to date transaction and status information. You also automatically get management reports showing all of your current transactions and their status, with single click access into the details of any one of them. At the end of the transaction, you can get an archive of all of your documents, information, messages, and tasks for that property.

SettlementRoom is an open and independent platform, integrated with forms software, back office software, MS Outlook, offering registered email, so we have no conflicts in offering you the best software anywhere.

Who Owns SettlementRoom?
SettlementRoom is owned by SettlementRoom Systems, Inc., a successful, privately held technology company. We do not sell real estate services, title insurance, or loans. We do not rely on venture capital or outside funding to operate. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise benefit from your personal information. We do not refer real estate agents, appraisers, lenders, or others for a fee.

How Safe And Secure Is My Data On SettlementRoom?
Data Center: Click here to see some photos from our data center. SettlementRoom is hosted in a top tier data national data center. Extreme measures are taken to ensure the security and availability of your data at all times, including redundant power supplies, firewall protection, data redundancy and backup, regularly scheduled backups, and multiple redundant connections to the Internet backbone.
Data Viewing and Transmission: All of your personal, transaction, and financial data on SettlementRoom is transmitted to your browser using the strongest (SSL 3.0) encryption. Every person who accesses SettlementRoom establishes a unique User Name and Password, and are allowed access to transactions by invitation only. You further decide which of your invitees can see sensitive documents and messages, so you have complete control.
Financial Failure: SettlementRoom has no third party debt, no venture capital, and approximately 100,000 registered users. Nonetheless, even if SettlementRoom were to become financially insolvent, you are additionally protected by our "Service Continuance Agreement" with a third party server management company which is prepaid to allow you to access to your data for an additional 30 days after services would otherwise terminate in the event of non-payment. As you can see, we have taken dramatic steps to make sure that you can feel comfortable that your data is always available and always protected.

Can I Get an Archive of My Data and Documents After Closing?
As you and your clients and vendors use SettlementRoom for a particular property, you are building an electronic record of the transaction. This electronic record contains every message, all contact information, every document, every task completion date, and every event that was posted on your website.
At any time during the life of the transaction you can obtain a complete archive of all of the data, information, and documents that existed within that transaction website. When you request this transaction archive, it is delivered to you as an email with a link. You click the link to download the archive of your transaction right to your desktop.

Does SettlementRoom Work for Loans and Commercial Transactions?
Yes. SettlementRoom can simultaneously accommodate all types and any number of transactions in a single account. A "transaction" in SettlementRoom is just a property address -- you decide how to implement the software.

Does SettlementRoom Integrate with My Other Software?
SettlementRoom can exchange data with a variety of other applications, including MS Outlook and CRM packages, Forms software, Back Office software, and some MLS providers. Call for more information.

Can SettlementRoom Provide Coordination Services or a Virtual Assistant?
SettlementRoom does not offer coordination services. However, we are proud to refer you to coordinators and assistants who are SettlementRoom Certified. A SettlementRoom Certified assistant or coordinator can manage all of your transactions for you, keep you organized, keep your clients up to date, help you with marketing tasks, and so much more. Yes. We recommend the Firefox Browser which allows Mac users to best take advantage of all of the features of SettlementRoom.

Does SettlementRoom Handle Digital Signatures?
Yes, there are several ways of taking advantage of the latest, and least expensive digital signature technologies with SettlementRoom.
1. You can use our integration with RPost Registered Email to negotiate legally binding agreements via email. For only $.59 per message, it's part of SettlementRoom and available anytime you need it -- you pay only for what you use.
2. You can also use the United States Postal Service Electronic Post Mark software (USPS EPM, provided by Authentidate) which is a simple plug-in for Microsoft Word. This plug-in is available for download at: http://www.authentidate.com/index.php/content/view/75/455/. It is easy and inexpensive to use, and best of all, it works right within MS Word! Just download your document from SettlementRoom, sign, and upload the signed copy for archiving. No special hardware required.
3. You can use other commercially available services, such as those provided by Solanis and Docusign, and simply upload the digitally signed documents to SettlementRoom when done.
